Stolen bikes returned to rightful owners

YOUNGSTERS left bereft after their new play equipment was stolen from Sycamore Lane Primary School have had the smiles put back on their faces after one of the bikes was returned.

Thieves stole the two specialist educational bikes along with three others from a locked shed at the Great Sankey school two weeks ago, days after pupils first played on them.

Staff recovered three of the bikes in the woodland area and after the article in the Warrington Guardian on June 18, a neighbour of the school returned one of the special bikes which had been dumped over his garden fence.

A witness has now also come forward to say they saw the theft take place so the school hopes the last bike will be returned.
