YOUNGSTERS will be able to let their imaginations run wild thanks to an improved play area at Birchwood CE Primary School.
New facilities for the school’s nursery provision include a ‘toadstool’ reading area, a ‘road track’ to ride toys on, a covered sandpit called ‘The Beach’, climbing frames and a soft play area including artificial grass.
Dawn Rapson, acting headteacher, said: “These facilities will provide the children with the very best start to their early education with an environment which is both stimulating and conducive to their learning.
“This is part of our continued commitment to improving standards for all of our children.”
