MORE work needs to be done to prevent Culcheth, Glazebury and Croft’s roads from deteriorating, say two councillors.

Parish clr Paul Campbell and Clr Sue Bland are calling on Warrington Borough Council to fix and prevent further potholes in the villages.

Clr Bland said: “We welcome the work being done to repair the carriageway on locations such as Common Lane, Hob Hey Lane and Wigshaw Lane in Culcheth, as well as several places in Croft.

“But this work needs to be accelerated as the number of potholes is increasing.”

Clr Campbell added: “The main road through Glazebury is of immediate concern especially as you approach the East Lancs Road.

“The carriageway there has been particularly bad for some time despite numerous calls from residents and councillors alike.

“Both Sue and I are determined to see that where there is a problem with our roads, it is dealt with as soon as possible.”
