School church links praised

LINKS between Woolston CE Primary School and the church have been commended by the Bishop of Warrington the Rt Rev Richard Blackburn He visited the Epping Drive school last week to present the Church and School Partnership Award.
All schools within the diocese strive to achieve a balance of academic and spiritual education, one that sets our students up to become productive, forward-thinking and responsible citizens. This is achieved through close links with the church, said the bishop.
“I am especially impressed with the way that the church and school invite parents to share the partnership, creating a strong sense of community,” he added.
