THE Long Lane Garden Centre scored a hole in one after their charity golf day raised £3,000.
Hosted by Poulton Golf Club, the charity event saw 11 teams of four players compete for top prize.
Competitors on the day included Orford Park contractors Galliford Try and Pimlico Plumbers, famous for their boss Charlie Mullins, who was featured in Channel 4’s Secret Millionaire television series.
The teams paid £150 to enter with proceeds going to the Orford charity.
An auction was also held after the golf in which prizes included guided tours around Goodison Park and Anfield.
A spokesman for the garden centre said the golf day, the charity’s first, had been a great success.
