A RESIDENT on Poplars Avenue has complained to Warrington Borough Council about overgrown grass verges on the estate.

Warrington Borough Council says grass cutting is carried out every six to eight weeks due to budget cuts.

But Kevin Brinksman, aged 61, claims Orford is treated differently.

He said: “I am unhappy because while I know there have been cutbacks I have been around several other areas in Warrington (Longford, Westbrook and Cinammon Brow) and not one of them is as bad as Poplars Avenue. Eight weeks is much too long to wait.

“All I ask is that all areas are treated the same which does not appear to be happening at present.”

The council says the cutting programme is carried out in the same way across the town.
