Introduction of traffic measure in Collins Green announced

TRAFFIC-CALMING measures are set to be introduced on Penkford Lane in Collins Green after residents raised concerns about speeding motorists.

Council leader Terry O'Neill has revealed that a build-out will be installed on the road to slow drivers down who continue to ignore the speed limit.

He said: "Residents have said that they were concerned after the old build-out was removed to resurface the road.

"We have listened to residents and have done what they have asked.

"This traffic measure should help to alleviate any concerns and slow down motorists on the road."

The build-out will be funded by Omega as part of its traffic management programme which aims to bring new measures to improve transport access and minimise traffic impact in the area.
