Miller Homes opens doors to Barely Green development

FROZEN stars, Anna and Elsa, will be making an appearance at the opening of the marketing suite and two show homes at the Miller Homes Barley Green development on Kingswood Road.

On Saturday, January 31, home hunters can visit the development from 10.30am to 5.30pm.

A number of sales advisors will be on hand to discuss what the development has to offer with the Disney characters greeting visitors from 1pm to 3pm.

Singer set for stage at Burtonwood Community Centre

Crackdown on uninsured drivers

OFFICERS are on the lookout for motorists who are driving without insurance.

Last week, officers seized a car in Winwick Quay which - following a routine check - did not have insurance.

Cheshire Police has warned motorists that if you drive a car without insurance, you risk a heavy fine or even losing your car.

MP speaks over main issues in Burtonwood

GP access, bus services and broadband speeds are some of the main issues flagged up to Warrington North MP Helen Jones when she went to door to door to speak to Burtonwood residents earlier this month.

Questions over the possibility of building a footpath between Burtonwood and the Omega were also discussed with the MP.

Mrs Jones has pressed for broadband services to be extended and is currently looking into the other issues.

Police appeal following burglary

POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary at a house in Burtonwood.

The incident is understood to have happened between the evening of January 17 and the morning of January 18 on Weymouth Road.

A spokesman said: "At this time all lines of enquiry have been exhausted.

"However if anyone has any information which might help police are asked to call 101 quoting incident number 478 18/01/2015."
