PLANS to build five detached houses on land on Radley Lane in Winwick have been stopped in their tracks.
The blueprints to erect the buildings on Peel Cottage have been refused by Warrington Borough Council.
During the consultation period, a number of neighbours raised concerns about the proposal.
This included over-development, the fret to wildlife, the inadequate access to the site and safety for both pedestrians and motorists.
It was also noted that, if these plans were given a green light, it could work as an 'excuse' and 'open the door' for Satnam Millenium to attempt to gain planning permission, which has been vigorously defended by many residents in the area.
