TWELVE youngsters have settled into their homes for the next four weeks after travelling from Belarus to Warrington.

The children are visiting the town as part of a project set up by the Burtonwood Link of the Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline.

The scheme was launched to aid and assist youngsters from Chernobyl in their development after the trauma of the after-effects of the nuclear disaster in April 1986

Just four weeks in the UK with clean air and uncontaminated food has been proven to help improve the lives of those who visit.

The group including teacher Victoria Kuzmenkova arrived on Saturday, July 12, and have already enjoyed visits to the Town Hall, Warrington Fire Station and Chester Zoo.
