BURTONWOOD-based H2O Events is set to release a new single in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

The song titled So Much to Give is performed by RidgeMount Road and will be available from Friday.

The single can be downloaded via iTunes and Amazon and all proceeds will be donated to the RNLI.

With a shot at the charts in their sights, RidgeMount Road recruited Pete Hammond, who has been credited on 11 UK number one singles and has worked with stars including Kylie Minogue and Take That.

Matt Whitticombe, founder of not-for profit company H2O Events, said: “2016 is going be a very exciting year for H2O Events with the release of our charity single on January 15 and the first H2O Fest set to take place in early August at Dorford Hall in Cheshire."

RidgeMount Road Gilly Barnes, who wrote the song, added: “I’m hugely proud to support the fantastic work that the RNLI charity does up and down the country.

"The RNLI has always been particularly close to my heart and I hope the proceeds from this single can help save lives at sea and all those it aids on a daily basis.”

"We are genuinely proud to be supporting the RNLI - it’s a fantastic cause and we hope this single will provide a cash boost for the charity over the next few months."

The RNLI provides a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland as well as a seasonal lifeguard service.

But keeping a fleet of lifeboats ready-to-go at more than 230 lifeboat stations is an expensive task.

Funding is also needed to provide crew training at more than 200 beaches while campaigning for water safety.

It costs around £410,000 a day to run the RNLI all of which is donated by the public.
