YOUNGSTERS at Winwick Primary School swapped the classroom for the courtyard as part of a new initiative to help pupils learn new skills.
Out of the classroom was launched to give pupils the chance to develop in a different environment.
Head teacher Ian Price said: "Education is about providing children with different experiences.
"This was about giving the pupils the opportunity to learn transferable skills.
"It's about taking the skill they have learned in the classroom and applying them in a different way".
The children took part in a series of activities which emphasised team building and communication.
