FAMOUS faces made an appearance at Frankie and Benny's when staff held a family fun day to raise money for Rays of Sunshine.

Minnie and Mickey Mouse and Olaf from Frozen dropped by to help the team on their charity mission at the restaurant on the Gemini Retail Park.

One of the waiters has also vowed to get a tattoo of his workplace but only if staff at the popular food chain hit their fundraising target of £1,500 on the day.

Danny Rodgers, from Birchwood, has agreed to get a permanent inking of Frankie and Benny's logo as long as his colleagues' fundraising day goes to plan.

The 32-year-old, who already has a number of tattoos, said: "It was just a spur of the moment decision.

"I think they will be able to raise the £1,500. There is lots planned."

If the work colleagues reach their target, Danny plans to get the tattoo on his chest or leg - but he still has a while to wait as the cash is still being counted.

In total the team hopes to raise £2,750 through a series of charity events.

All the money raised from the event will be donated to the restaurant's chosen charity, Rays of Sunshine.

The charity aims to brighten the lives of children who are living with serious or life-limiting illnesses.
