FIVE teams from the Burtonwood Scout Troop put their best foot forward to achieve a gold award in the District Blakfoot Hike.
This year, the two-day hike, which is an annual event, took the scouts across open countryside from the outskirts of Blackburn to Clitheroe.
Teams had to plot their route, walking through a number of checkpoints along the way, cooking their meals on a portable gas stove and camping overnight in tents.
Scout leader, Neil Thomason said: "Never before have we had five teams in the Blakfoot Hike and for them all to achieve the gold award is a remarkable achievement. They should be deservedly proud, as I am, for what they have achieved."
