THE Finance Sub-committee of Burtonwood Parish Council has awarded a number of cash boosts to schools and groups in the area.
A collection of grant applications were agreed at a meeting at Kingswood Community Centre earlier in the summer.
St Paul of the Cross Primary School was one of the schools to receive funding with £350 donated to its annual summer gala day.
A total of £500 was also handed to the Burtonwood Community Centre for IT equipment.
The cost of first aid equipment for Cheeky Cherubs Parents Support Group was also covered by the parish council.
