AN 11-YEAR-OLD girl has been recognised as one of the best young writers in the region after coming second in a short story competition.
St Margaret’s Primary School pupil Megan Rutter got top marks for her 500-word fairytale Beneath You’re Beautiful.
Megan came runner up in Explore Learning’s Young Writers’ Award.
She was picked by judge Liz Pichon, who illustrates the Tom Gates series of books.
