A PENSIONER’S daughter has heaped praise on a new community care village in Latchford which gave people the chance to connect with their creative side through an inspiring art session.
Aimed particularly for those living with dementia, residents at Belong Warrington, the new £9.5 million state-of-the-art project on Loushers Lane, took part in the Five Senses workshop.
Doreen Hunter, who moved into the village from Wigan to become one of the first people to reside there, took part in the workshops and created a painting inspired by her memories.
Her daughter Lesley Inniss is delighted.
“It’s wonderful to hear my mum laughing with her new friends and watch her joining in with the activities,” said Lesley.
