CHILDREN at an Appleton school have not only performed their own version of George and the Dragon – but they wrote it themselves.

Year two youngsters from Cobbs Infant School and Nursery took to the stage at The Parr Hall last month in the primary arts network concert.

Children at the school wrote their own version of the legend and with the help of Tim Eden from Bridgewater High School and recorded their story including music extracts together with their own sound effects. The school is also celebrating being awarded the Artsmark Gold award in recognition of their commitments to the arts.
