APPLETON church St Mary Magdalene's is to host weekly coffee mornings for all age groups to reduce isolation in the area.
Coffee, tea and biscuits will be served from 9-11am each week at the church, on Dingleway, with a warm welcome guaranteed.
The aim of the event is to encourage communication among residents and it will be run jointly by members of St Mary Magdalene's, St Thomas' and St Monica's churches.
The idea for the coffee mornings was initially put forward by cllr Judith Wheeler (LD - Appleton).
