Road closures for Stockton Heath Walking Day
STOCKTON Heath will come to a standstill this Saturday as churches and schools in the area celebrate walking day.
Groups will meet at Alexandra Park for a service led by St Thomas’ Church then from 2.30pm the procession will head through the streets of the village.
Residents and motorists are being warned of potential road closures from 1.45pm to 3.15pm when the procession passes through.
The affected roads are Alexandra Road, Carlton Street, Chapel Lane, East Avenue (part), Ellesmere Road (part), Grappenhall Road (part), Heath Street, London Road (part), Parkgate Road, Walton Road (part), Walton Heath Road (part), Whitefield Road (part).
