UPDATED: Dangerous chlorine drums found

DANGEROUS barrels of chlorine gas stolen from a truck stop in Lymm on Tuesday have been found.

The theft was discovered on Tuesday morning when a trailer, described as a plain black curtainside unit marked with registration YJ61 ODH, was reported stolen from Poplars 2000 truck stop at Lymm on the M6/M56 motorway.

Among the goods on board were eight sealed barrels of chlorine gas which police say can prove very dangerous and even fatal if inhaled.

But the barrels were found, along with the trailer, on Wednesday morning - abandoned in Staffordshire on the A34 at Stone.
