A BAND whose song was played at a crash victim’s funeral have passed on their condolances.
Lostprophets’ bassist Stu Richardson saw the Warrington Guardian story about Brett Whitfield, aged 22, and got in touch with the paper after reading that the band’s song Last Train Home was going to be played at his funeral.
Karen Ruttner, one of the band’s managers, passed on the band’s condolences to his family after being moved to hear that he said he wanted the song to commemorate his life.
Brett died after his Vauxhall Corsa hit a tree in Cherry Lane, Lymm, on January 19.
Mourners paid tribute to him at a funeral at St Peter’s Church, Oughtrington, on Friday.
