Lots of reasons to get behind Warrington Wolves

THERE is still time to grab a piece of the action at Warrington Wolves next season.

The club has extended its earlybird deadline for season tickets until Thursday, November 12.

Sales are already well up compared to this time last year as fans clamour to see Tony Smith's side bid for the 'league and cup double' in 2010.

These are exciting times at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Wolves ended their 35-year wait for Challenge Cup success during 2009, bringing home the first silverware since winning the Regal Trophy in 1991.

Head of coaching and rugby Smith announced on the pitch at the end of the final game of the 2009 season that Wolves will be aiming for the Challenge Cup and Super League title in 2010.

With his track record at previous club Leeds, where he won both competitions, and the squad that is assembled for next year, Wolves are looking good.

Pre-season training is now underway to get the men in shape for the thrills and spills to come, with Smith getting back in the groove alongside first-team coach Jimmy Lowes as soon as his England coaching duties draw to a close.

England players Ryan Atkins and Richie Myler, as well as former Kiwi international David Solomona, have been added to an already strong squad boasting new England internationals Chris Bridge and Ben Harrison, as well as the more established England capped players Adrian Morley, Ben Westwood and Garreth Carvell.

Throw in some outstanding Australian talent - Michael Monaghan, Matt King and Chris Hicks - as well as Kiwi brothers Vinnie and Louis Anderson, and it's clear to see the quality at Smith's disposal.

Helping to bring that all together is one of the king pins of the team, Lee Briers, who is eager for more cup glory after having his first taste in a 13-year career.

And supplementing the vast array of gloabl talent are some of Warrington's very own rising stars, with flying winger Chris Riley, go-forward prop machine Mike Cooper and Ireland back rower Tyrone McCarthy among those to have firmly got their feet under the table with the first team.

Having a season ticket also brings an amount of benefits to a supporter.

2010 season ticket holders will get:

* Entry to all 13 home Super League games

* Fifty per cent discount on an Edinburgh Magic weekend ticket

* Free entry to the fourth round of the Challenge Cup

* Priority booking for play-off and Challenge Cup tickets
