YOUNGSTERS at Sycamore Lane Primary School in Great Sankey have formed a knitting club to make blankets for St Rocco’s.

A group of year six girls set up the club during their lunch hour and enlisted the help of younger pupils to knit a blanket and pillow for the school’s chosen charity.

School secretary Tracey Marshall said: “There were around 15 girls aged between seven and 11 involved in the club.

“It was a fantastic effort by the girls who have all worked really hard to make these items.”
