TWO leaf vacuums have been bought by Warrington Borough Council to help combat masses of leaves in and around Stockton Heath.
With residents having voiced concerns about the problem, Sharon Walls, highway and environment service manager for the council, revealed the news.
"The vacuums were meant to be brought in from America but they had to get them from somewhere else as we couldn't get them in time from there," she told Stockton Heath Parish Council.
Cllr Stephen Taylor questioned the state of parts of Stockton Heath in comparison to Lymm but Mrs Walls insisted no location receives favourable treatment.
The vacuums will also be used in other areas across the town.
