THE Bishop of Warrington Rt Rev Richard Blackburn officially marked the start of a new era at the school following the completion of a refurbishment project.
Rt Rev Blackburn opened the new entrance to Winwick Primary School by cutting a ribbon in front of staff and pupils.
Head teacher Ian Price said this marked the start of a positive year for the school on Myddleton Lane.
Past and present pupils have also been doing their bit for the school following the launch of a memory wall.
Members of the public are invited to buy a brick for £30 which includes an engraving.
