A DETERMINED mum has been inspired to launch her own Slimming World group after helping her loved ones to lose weight.

Georgia Nunney had been a weight loss expert for almost 20 years before falling ill.

This forced Georgia to take a break from her healthy lifestyle and saw her pile on the pounds.

She said: “Comfort eating didn’t help me feel any more comfortable with myself at all.

"I became despondent with my health and my weight gain when a Slimming World advert in the Warrington Guardian caught my eye.

"I went along and was amazed at being able to lose weight whilst enjoying cooked breakfasts, curries and eating out too.

"Such was my enthusiasm that a few weeks later my daughter-in-law, Rachel Nunney, joined too, keen to lose weight and keep it off, breaking her cycle of yo-yo weight loss."

Joining the group at Tetley Walkers in Orford last November, she has lost more than 102lbs to date and has been presented with her seven stone award recently.

Her mum Sandra Whitfield has lost two stone and her nan, Jean Page also joined Slimming World, losing two stone to become a target member.

By helping her loved ones, it made Georgia realise how much she missed supporting others to lose weight.

She said: “I just knew that I wanted to care for and support others with my new found enthusiasm and the excellent Slimming World Extra Easy eating plan – and now I can.”

Georgia is proud to be opening a new Slimming World group on Saturday, September 5, at St Gregory's High School on Cromwell Ave in Westbrook at 9am.

She added: "I can't wait to help other people achieve their goal weight too. "
