STAFF at Asda in Birchwood have been praised for going 'above and beyond' for one of their regular elderly shoppers.

Tracey Myers, from Culcheth, has thanked the Dewhurst Road supermarket's employees Stewart Wilson and Mark Kelly who help her neighbour Jean Pepper every Saturday morning.

She said: "Miss Pepper has multiple sclerosis and is 81 and while she can walk she has limited mobility.

"Stewart and Mark book the use of a wheelchair from the shopping centre and pick Miss Pepper up from her car.

"The time given and the patience shown by these gents is admirable. They help her packing her goods and load her shopping into her car before taking the wheelchair back to the shopping centre."

Tracey sent a letter to Asda chief executive Andy Clarke for Stewart and Mark's efforts to be recognised.
