TAXPAYERS in Birchwood will not see an increase in the amount they pay for town council services this year.
Residents living in band D homes will pay £94.30 towards Birchwood Town Council's portion of their council tax, the same figure as last year.
Altogether the town council has requested a precept of £337,776 from Warrington Borough Council for the next financial year.
Since last year, the number of band D homes in Birchwood has increased by 84 which will mean the town council will have £7,902 in extra funds.
A spokesman for the town council said: "The additional funding will be allocated to cover general inflation in operational costs with the remainder allocated to the Birchwood Forest Park recreation project."
