STAFF at Stretton Post Office are celebrating after being recognised for their excellent sales and service.
The store, on Tarporley Road, has scooped the best branch award for quarter two following an impressive year.
It came out on top against 2,500 'local' post offices around the country and manager Susan Carter, who has been at the branch for 10 years, admits she was truly thrilled to have heard the news.
"We have only been a 'local' post office for 18 months so to get this award is really great," she said.
"But we want to thank the customers because it is them who come in each day, they are brilliant.
"This is the quarterly section, we are now going to go to the yearly competition so we will have to see what happens.
"We will just be carrying on what we are doing and try to help the customers as much as we can.
"There are four of us here in total and we always have two people on the counter."
The post office is open from 8am to 6pm from Monday to Friday and 8 to 1 on Saturdays.
