A three-legged mutant chicken is on the loose at a Lee shopping centre to inject new life into the precinct.
The Easter Saturday event runs from 11am until late with free activities for the whole family at the Leegate centre.
Activities for youngsters include a treasure hunt, pin the leg on the chicken, basket-making, face-painting, plus an egg and spoon and three-legged race.
An Easter egg hunt involves families searching Leegate’s shops for clues that will ultimately help them to complete a quiz and win specials prizes.
Activities for eight-18 year olds will be hosted by Lee Green Youth Club, based at the community centre at the heart of the shopping centre.
Ward councillor Coun Jim Mallory said: "Regeneration and rebirth – especially relevant at Easter – are what we want to see at Leegate.
"That’s why people believe it’s worth trying to make things happen, not just for the shops but to help residents who live in the immediate neighbourhood."
