BONFIRE Night on the Dene, Hambleden is on Sunday, November 4, starting at 6pm. There will be all the usual fun as well as a Pumpkin competition.

NEXT Concert in Hambleden Church is at the end of the month on November 24, when two local school choirs will be singing a wide range of songs accompanied by the famous South African tenor Craig Downes. Craig has worked with the Welsh National opera singing at the Albert Hall and on tour.

The choirs singing with him hail from Caversham and Moulsford, both schools have given many concerts both in this country and overseas. Money raised is for the NSPCC and tickets, costing £15 (with children under 12, £5) to include refreshments, can be obtained from Mrs Woods Ballard on 01491 572148 or Mrs Shapland on 01491 638391.
