Black comedy Psychoville is one to watch
11:51am Thursday 8th October 2009 in News By Paul Pope
DURING the summer more than 1million viewers tuned in to BBC2 every Thursday to watch the honourably-named black comedy Psychoville, written by and starring the talent behind The League of Gentlemen.
Steve Pemberton, aged 42, and Reece Shearsmith, aged 40, do not fail in their attempts to mix side-splitting humour with behind-the-sofa thrills in this thought-provoking mystery series.
From the first episode to the last Psychoville keeps the viewer wanting and asking for more.
Even after the edge-of-the-seat cliff-hanger the series leaves the audience eagerly waiting.
Alongside Steve and Reece, The Vicar of Dibley star Dawn French portrays one of the craziest and scariest women on TV since Margaret Thatcher.
Following the success and unpredictable ending of the programme I for one would not be surprised if we see another series.
For those who missed the show the DVD is now available online.
