Daniel Miller, aged 15, of Warrington is interested in cooking and being 'a famous chief like Gordan Ramsay'. Here's his report...

On Thursday 6th August I was over the moon with such overwhelming amount of information given to me by Mrs Richards, my life skill teacher at William Beaumont, high school, Long Lane.

She was told by Mrs Thomas to give me the good news about my appentice.

Mrs Richards said 'the apprenticeship has exulted to something bigger than expected' as you know you took part in the great northern cook off in south Trafford collage and the chiefs where amazed with how you coped under pressure and had excellent knife skills and stood out from about 48 pupils from different schools across England and Wales.

I have been given an apprenticeship at the new Macdonald Hotel in Manchester across for Manchester Piccadilly and been given a pace at Motherwell collage to learn about knife skills and health and hygiene.

I will firstly going towards my SVQ level 2 and then SVQ level 3. The Macdonald hotel in Manchester is a £50millon hotel with 230 rooms and WI-FI fitted for free broadband.

All this could not of happened without the fantastic help from Mrs Thomas and to Jacqueline Huges Lundy from inspiring Connections and of course the Princes Trust XL team.

I have been invited to a garla meal in the French Midland Hotel, Mancester for the apprenticeship to be given to me plus I will be having a free make over commentary of House of Frazer Manchester which will be worth £7,000 as the winners of the great Northen cook off Xl group are also getting a make over by Hose of Frazer.

I can't start the apprenticeship until i am 16.
