REGINALD Finch, husband of Mona Finch, died on August 29, aged 89.
Mr Finch, from Thelwall, lived in the Warrington area all his life.
He had served with the Army in the Grenadier Guards then was employed at a Stockton Heath bank as manager until retirement.
Mr Finch was a keen athlete and had been Lancashire champion sprinter in the 100 and 220 yards.
He was a member of Bridgewater Probus Club for many years, enjoyed indoor and outdoor bowling and holidays abroad.
He loved spending time with all of his family.
Mr Finch leaves his wife, two daughters, four grandchildren and a great-grand-daughter.
A service was held on September 10 at All Saints Church, followed by cremation at Walton Lea.
The Rev Douglas Black officiated.
