RONALD Waldron, husband of Kathleen Waldron, died on August 21, aged 72.
Mr Waldron, from Latchford, lived in the Warrington area all his life.
He was last employed as a heavy goods lorry driver.
Mr Waldron was a member and leader of Boys Brigade the 9th Warrington. He later became a qualified football referee and was a founder member of Pierpoint and Bryant football team.
He was also press secretary to Warrington Sunday Football League, secretary to Pierpoints Social Club for 40 years, and a committee member from the age of 19.
He also loved family holidays in Devon.
Mrs Waldron leaves his wife, three sons and four grandchildren.
A service was held on September 1 at Walton Lea, followed by cremation.
The Rev Harry Foster officiated.
