IRENE Ruth Davies, wife of the late John Davies, died of dementia on July 11, aged 88.
Mrs Davies, from Appleton, formerly of Dallam, lived in the Warrington area all her life.
She enjoyed holidays at home and abroad, knitting, bingo, baking, and loved the company of her family.
She was an active member of Broomfields Sheltered Housing and was engaged in charity work as a member of Dallam Community House.
Mrs Davies leaves two daughters, four sons, 23 grandchildren, 45 greatgrandchildren and four great-greatgrandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter and two sons.
A service was held on July 22 at St Barnabas Church, followed by interment at Fox Covert.
The Rev Karen Timmis officiated.
