JOHN Patrick Glover, husband of Teresa Glover, died on July 9, aged 86.

Mr Glover, of Callands Nursing Home, formerly of Latchford, lived in the Warrington area all his life.

He was employed for a short time at Ferrous Light Casting Company before moving to Bennetts Bakeries, (later known as Memory Lane Cakes) until retirement.

Mr Glover loved singing and this lead to him becoming resident compere at The Rendezvous Club.

He continued to sing at Richmond’s Social Club and in later years he sang with the bands of Andy Pryor and Harry Goulding.

Mr Glover also enjoyed dominoes and snooker. After his retirement he enjoyed trailer tenting and holidays abroad.

Mr Glover leaves his wife, a son, two daughters, three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

A service was held on July 22 at the Blessed John Henry Newman RC Church, followed by cremation at Walton Lea.

The Rev Father Peter Montgomery officiated.
