VANDA Robinson, wife of the late Mr Frank Robinson, died on January 14, aged 92.
Mrs Robinson, from Stockton Heath, lived in Warrington all her life.
She worked as a dressmaker at Elsie Peppers between 1935 and 1940, and then during the Second World War she served with the Land Army at a Lymm Farm. She later worked at Lily Jones Alterations from 1960-70.
In her younger days she represented Warrington Swimming Club and was also a champion gymnast.
Mrs Robinson was a member of Bold Street Methodist Church and enjoyed knitting, reading, family holidays, socialising with friends and loved the company of her family.
She leaves a son, four grandchildren, and seven greatgrandchildren and was predeceased by a daughter.
A service was held on February 4 at Bold Street Methodist, followed by cremation at Walton Lea.
