JOHN Robinson, husband of Mrs Janet Robinson, died of motor neurone disease on December 22, aged 70.
Mr Robinson, from Paddington, formerly Latchford, lived in Warrington all his life.
He first worked at British Rail, then Greater Manchester Police and Royal Mail for 40 years.
Mr Robinson enjoyed watercolour painting, gardening, reading listening to music, going to the gym, fishing and spending time with his family.
He leaves his wife, a daughter, a son and two grandchildren.
A service was held on January 7 at Walton Lea followed by cremation.
The Rev Ron Percival officiated.
