ALEXANDER George Walker Fowler, husband of Mrs Sylvia Yvonne Fowler, died of Alzheimer’s disease on January 2, aged 83.
Mr Fowler, from Woolston, was born in Aberdeen, Scotland.
At 15 he had worked on the fishing trawlers then joined the Royal Navy for seven years.
He was employed as depot manager at Nestle distribution, Aberdeen and then became transport manager at Nestle, Winwick.
He enjoyed golf, holidays in Scotland and abroad, especially Croatia and was a keen supporter of Warriors of Warrington swimming club. He loved socialising with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He leaves his wife, a daughter, two sons, five grandchildren and two brothers.
He was predeceased by a son. A service was held on January 21 at the Church of the Ascension followed by cremation at Walton Lea.
