A DRUG dealer has been jailed for five years following police raids.
David Kelly, aged 32, was caged at Chester Crown Court on Friday after admitting two counts of supplying heroin, one count of possession of heroin with intent to supply and one count of possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply.
The former Valley Court resident was stopped by officers in Church Street on January 30 after members of the public reported him acting suspiciously in the area.
DS Ian Allen, from the northern area dedicated drugs unit, said: "This is a great example of how vital community intelligence is in tackling the issues of drug use in our communities.
"Residents spotted what he was doing and did something about it by reporting it immediately. Due to this information officers stopped Kelly and recovered class A drugs from the scene."
DS Allen urged anyone with any information to contact the Northern Area Dedicated Drugs Unit on 01244 615885.
