FOR this week’s look back to the First World War in Yester Years, we have reader Marie Bacon to thank.
She sent in a picture of her father-in-law, seated on the right, Sgt Norman Henry Bacon, from the 446 Rifle Brigade.
She said: “I do not know where it was taken as he never spoke about his service.
“I also have his war medals including the Military Medal, but do not know what it was awarded for.”
Can you help or do you recognise anyone on the picture?
Contact us at Yester Years through the usual channels.
