Kim Hayton, HR Director at FDR Law discusses Life Coaching

Question: I took a break over the summer and now realise I want a career change but don’t know how to go about it?

Answer: Many of us use the time we spend on holiday reflecting on our lives and taking stock to evaluate if we are heading towards, or achieving, our goals. Sadly, for most these are only dreams and family or financial commitments (or both) can often take priority; we don’t get the opportunity to follow up on changes in our lives that may help us put those dreams into reality.

It doesn’t have to be that way though.

At times, it’s natural to feel lost and not sure where we’re going.

It’s key to take the time to concentrate on what is important to you and work out how you can achieve those dreams or aspirations.

Perhaps you want to spend more time travelling or to move away from your office based job to one that is more fulfilling for you, or perhaps you have always dreamed of starting a new business, taking part in an Ironman competition, writing a book or learning to water ski – life coaching could be the answer.

The sessions can provide you with the motivation and drive to help you take a new and exciting direction – one that you aspire to if only you were encouraged to achieve. The only thing stopping you is you!

Kim Hayton is a qualified life coach and has worked with many people helping them to realise their goals, face their challenges and achieve what is important to them.
