IT stands 30 feet wide, 26 feet deep and contains 1,300 LED lights.
And now it can be seen by drivers from miles around.
Hardy Signs Limited has just completed an ambitious and imposing project at manufacturing giant Plastic Omnium on Omega.
Hardy Signs did the original signage on the site when the car parts supplier opened on the Burtonwood site in 2015.
But directors of the firm wanted a sign which would be bigger and easily seen from the nearby M62.
Hardy Signs made a flexible-faced light box sign which houses more than 1,300 LEDs working from 24 transformers.
The framework to support the sign was secured from inside the factory before the LED system could be fitted and connected.
The Hardy Signs team then fixed a PVC ‘skin’ over the entire framework which is printed with the recognisable OP logo in blue and white.
“The installation of a sign of this size is complicated and takes careful planning” said Tom Hardy, Hardy Signs general manager.
