TOWN centre-based Knight Corporate Finance has announced that it will be sponsoring the English Half Marathon Corporate Challenge for 2016.

The race is held in Warrington on September 18 and last year saw more than 5,000 runners from across the UK and beyond take on a new town centre route on the standard half marathon diatance and the shorter 10k route.

There is also a one-mile challenge for children.

Knight Corporate Finance was founded in December 2008 with the specific aim of advising businesses and entrepreneurs in the telecommunications, media and technology (TMT) sector. It is now expanding into supporting owner managed businesses in other sectors from its Palmyra Square office.

Paul Billingham, co-founder of Knight, said “We’re absolutely thrilled to be working with the English Half Marathon, and this latest partnership shows how well placed strategic alliances can really benefit the community.

“The EHM is a great opportunity for business owners to bring people together and play a part in the community.

"Teams can sign up for the 10k or half marathon and there is also a mile for the kids, so the event has a real family feel to it."
