CAN your firm get the people it needs?
There are very differing positions depending on the industry.
High paying employment will always tend to attract suitable staff, as they will be willing to commute reasonable distances for the right position.
This can present be an issue, increasing congestion for example. Warrington’s location in proximity to Liverpool and Manchester means that for some firms there is a ready pool of labour drawn from outside the town.
Wouldn’t it be better if the employees which were needed were already in Warrington?
Having a healthy local economy requires a strong skills base and that means matching supply and demand.
For sectors where there are still good jobs but where pay terms and conditions may be little more modest then gaps are evident.
There are insufficient people with the skills in the area and fewer willing to travel. The challenge is to find, educate and train the right people to fill the roles available.

. Training providers are listening and willing to respond.
