Building bridges

MORE than 100 women in business from the town attended the spring lunch of Women's Business Network.

Held at Village Urban Resorts Hotel, the event offered businesswomen the chance to meet others from the area with a view to building business relationships and picking up ideas.

Special guest speaker was Dr Michelle Harvie, from Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention and author of The two-day diet and during the lunch a raffle raised more than £800 for the charity.

The event has proved to be a popular date in businesswomen’s calendars since the network was set up by Tricia Peters three years ago.
