SPORTSWEAR giant New Balance has moved into a new home in Birchwood.

The relocation comes at a time when the brand is enjoying unprecedented popularity both in the UK and across international markets.

The new office is the European headquarters of the company.

Jon Ram, New Balance’s VP International, said: “The relocation to our new headquarters facility for our EMEA team marks an important milestone in the brand’s remarkable progress in recent years.

“This regional EMEA centre will be the hub for New Balance’s UK and Ireland sales organisation and the region’s product and marketing teams.”

The new office is based at Appleton House, Birchwood Boulevard, and replaced the previous head office at Centre Park in the town centre.

As previously reported in the Warrington Guardian, it is also opening a factory shop at the site.

New Balance is the only major athletic shoe company that is committed to domestic manufacturing, having five factories in New England in the US and a production facility in Flimby, Cumbria.

The company also operates under the brand Warrior in the production of football kits.
