A WARRINGTON apprentice has picked up pole position at this year’s Institute of the Motor Industry Outstanding Achievers Awards ceremony.
Jason Ratcliffe, who works at the Rybrook Volvo dealership on Winwick Road, was named as the winner of the outstanding student accolade for the light vehicle category.
The apprentice joined the dealership in 2011 as part of his Volvo parts apprenticeship programme and is currently in his final year, having spent three years with the Warrington dealership.
Brian Hutchinson, aftersales trainer and assessor for Volvo Cars UK said: “Jason has so much dedication, commitment and passion for his role and progresses on a daily basis.
"There are numerous processes and procedures that Jason is learning about to enable him to carry out his daily duties and responsibilities, and whilst he digests this level of information, it will of course help him towards completing his apprenticeship."
His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent, who is patron of the IMI Group, attended the event and described winners as 'future leaders and current role models in the sector'.
